Once upon a time, in a small den in the woods there lived three bears: Momma, Poppa, and Son. Now these bears were happy bears. They lived on a healthy diet of figs and leaves and occasionally some meat that the park ranger gave them.
On this particular day, it was steak day for the bears. Unfortunately, the steaks were not very high quality, as the park could not afford to support that kind of luxury. And thus the bears grew weary of this cheap steak and most usually put off eating it. Poppa said it was too cold, and Momma said overcooked and Son said it was too fatty. And it was on occasions like this that the bears abandoned their den and went for walks in the forest...after all, they lived in a national park.
While the bears were out, a small little pig-tailed blonde girl who had eluded her parents stumbled upon the den. And the aroma of the cold, overcooked, fatty steaks pulled her in. She tried a small bite of the first one, only to discover that it was not to her liking.

Commentary-Green Eggs and Ham
What follows is a discourse on how Dr. Seuss created an allegory to the story of man's fall from grace in the Garden of Eden in his book Green Eggs and Ham.
Firstly, a note must be made about the writing style that Seuss' elected to use for this story. The way that Seuss compiles his work is in a rhyming, poetic form. This could be a mock-allusion to Dante's Inferno, an epic poem, which would foreshadow the protagonist's fall.
In the beginning of the story, Sam rides by first with a sign that says, "I am Sam" (3). This is proper. However, the sign is then changed to "Sam I Am" (7). From this point on, Sam is referred to as Sam-I-Am. This serves to reiterate the backwards nature of Sam, throughout the text. Sam is the only creature that provides contradiction in the story, and he represents the serpent in the tale of Garden of Eden.
The protagonist does not have a name. There are no other people of the protagonist's type in the story, and that is why the protagonist is nameless. When Ad

Have you ever had a dream, that you were so sure was real? What if you were unable to wake from that dream? How would you know the difference between the dream world and the real world?

What you know you can't explain, but you feel it. You've felt it your entire deviant life, that there's something wrong with the story. You don't know what it is, but it's there, like a splinter in your mind, driving you mad.

You take the blue pill, the story ends. Your browser closes and you believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill, you stay in wonderland. And, I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes.

I offer only the truth, nothing more.

Take: The Red Pill
Take: The Blue Pill
