Jesus Era Comunista by malinhion Jesus Era Comunista by malinhion
I had an experience this summer that made me lookm at religion from a political standpont. I came up with this. But, seriously, Jesus really is a Communst. Check out the Bible.

I took him here and altered his picture to make it look like Che.

Enjoy!

It's really NOT fuzzy up close! Click it!

Great picture, and I may be mistaken, but I seriously believe that Che Guevara was the second coming of Jesus Christ.

I think ~rychas needs to notice the respect we all have to the historic figure of Christ. We do not consider this blasphemous; this is speclative and humourous. We DO NOT think Jesus was socialist or communist. We think he had radical ideas about his time and his future (our present). Wheter we consider him God or not, we all agree that this man wanted to change the world radically (as communists do). Don't get pissed with a good joke.

Again, Malinhion, good job. :D (Big Grin)

Actually, I'm not joking.

Jesus is for social equality. He heals the sick, embraces the lepers, and feels empathy for the poor. Jesus was constantly fighting with the Pharises, who were in charge of the church. The Pharises were the Jewish tribe in charge of the Torah. Or was it the temples? Either way, they were one of the most powerful, and corrput tribes. Jesus wanted to bring the priests off of their pedestals to be equal with the common people. Again, social equality.

Jesus is for the elimination of capital. He kicked the money changers out of the church. Capital only leads to green and exploitation. Another example of this: greed drives Judas to betray Jesus. Or, when Jesus asks his apostles whose face is on the coin. They tell him Caesar. He says "Give to Daesar what is Caesar's, and give to God what is God's." Jesus obviously cares not for money.

There are tons of other examples, but I don't feel like pulling out a Bible and finding them now. Do you have a rebuttal? And please, be civil.

Heh. Thanks.

I've actually compiled several Bible passages, backing this up.

Printed them out at school, but left them in the tray, and couldn't save. :/

I'll have to go back and refind them sometime. Shouldn't take to long.

I said that economically and socially, Jesus was probably a Communist. Socialist doctrine really has no policy on religion.

Blasphemy? Sure. On some levels, most definitely. But the image is more of a political statement.

I also say God is not what we think it is. Jesus may have worshipped a spiritual form of Mao-Tsetung
I think too much on this subject, sorry for the spam.

Also after a second thought....

Jesus was very religious.
Communism is almost entirely based on atheism.
So, I say he was more for a socialist outlook.
But really, I imagine he had his own theory on government.

"Looking for Jesus is like looking down a deep well; every generation that does it ends up seeing its own reflection reflected back at it."
--Albert Schweitzer, The Quest of the Historical Jesus

I agree with malinhion, mostly. Disregarding the fact that Jesus had Godliness, where Communism is atheistic, Jesus does seem to preach equality for all. He says several times to "Sell what you have and give the money to the poor. Then follow me," and that it will be difficult for the wealthy to reach Heaven. And, of course, he preached that all are equally condemned, but all also share the same opportunity for salvation.

Socialism, on the other hand, gives the power to the working class and does not give equal wages.

However, associating Jesus with the Communist regime would be taking it a little too far. Jesus had more in mind than just leveling the playing field materialistically.

Note that, while Jesus believed in God, he was both economically and socially a Communist. He didn't believe that any of the people should govern over each other. Take the Pharises for example. Jesus didn't think that they should be a ruling body.
