"In heaven all the interesting people are missing." -Nietzche
--Albert Schweitzer, The Quest of the Historical Jesus
I agree with malinhion, mostly. Disregarding the fact that Jesus had Godliness, where Communism is atheistic, Jesus does seem to preach equality for all. He says several times to "Sell what you have and give the money to the poor. Then follow me," and that it will be difficult for the wealthy to reach Heaven. And, of course, he preached that all are equally condemned, but all also share the same opportunity for salvation.
Socialism, on the other hand, gives the power to the working class and does not give equal wages.
However, associating Jesus with the Communist regime would be taking it a little too far. Jesus had more in mind than just leveling the playing field materialistically.

TriptychR's signature sheepishly says hello.
I am a communist.
This is total blasphemy at the highest standard and I want to kiss you.
Jesus was very religious.
Communism is almost entirely based on atheism.
So, I say he was more for a socialist outlook.
But really, I imagine he had his own theory on government.
